Hello again!
Today I thought I would share a bit of different card for me that I made using the Leonie Pujol embossing folder with my design team samples.
I have always tended to make square cards with decorated fronts but not really any speciality style cards. So this year I have been challenging myself to try out a wider range of cards and boxes etc. that require a bit more 'engineering'.
With that in mind I decided to try out a simple stepper card following instructions that had been in a paper crafting magazine. Here is the card I made...
I am sure that there are lots of instructions out there in internet land for making a stepper card so I will tell you about how I decorated it instead! The background for each layer was made from a piece of card put through the 'Baublelicious' embossing folder. I then used distress ink to colour it (peeled paint) and gold Pebeo gilding wax over the raised baubles. Using a spectrum aqua marker I coloured in the berries ad topped them with some glossy accents...
The tree sections, baubles and presents were stamped (using versamark and gold embossing powder) with the tree stamp set and then coloured with aqua markers before being cut out and layered up on the steps of the card...
The sentiment came from the Christmas sentiments set, stamped and heat embossed in gold, and was then cut out with a circle punch...
I really enjoyed trying a different style of card and am going to make sure that I continue to look at new ways of creating projects.
Tomorrow morning I am going to post about a giveaway that I am planning for when I reach 50 followers and then at 8pm there will be a post to coincide with Leonie's new launch. Here are the details again and one more sneaky peek...
I hope you are able to join me again tomorrow!

Robin Card for Leonie...
Hello!
Last week saw the launch of Leonie's new embossing folders and stamps on HOCHANDA. I was really proud when Leonie used one of the cards that I made to inspire one of her demonstrations! So I thought that I would share my card with you today...

The background was created by embossing a piece of kraft card in the 'Scribbly Wishes' folder then rubbing over gently with a sanding block...
The robin was stamped, along with the branch, holly leaves and berries, using brown archival ink and then the pieces cut out and coloured using Spectrum Aqua pens with water...
I then embossed a piece of acetate using the 'It's Snowing' folder and made sure it was slightly larger than the panel I wanted to cover so that a dome would be formed...
Finally a sentiment was stamped from the Christmas sentiments stamp set and an extra bit of holly added for a finishing touch...
Excitingly there is another new Leonie launch this week with some new masks and stencils, here is all the info...
And to finish here is a sneaky peek of one of my design team samples for Thursday...
Thank you for reading and I will be back with another project tomorrow.

Here is the piece that I created...
I started with a 5" square canvas to which I added modelling paste through the harlequin stencil by IndigoBlu. I then stuck my chipboard pieces to the canvas using 3D matte gel from Finnabair. The words are from Dusty Attic and the honeycomb and circles are from Scrapmatts. Some art stones from Powertex were also added suspended in the 3D gel again. When these had all dried I painted white gesso across the whole piece to create a good base for the colour I was going to use...
Using spray inks from Dylusions I spritzed the canvas with Calypso Teal, Fresh Lime and lemon...
To add more definition to the texture I then added gold Pebeo gilding wax across the piece and some yellow gelato inside the circle to create a brighter area...
Finally a butterfly was die cut using Sheena Douglas's perfect pair die and this was coloured using the gold gilding wax to match the rest of the canvas. Then some teal coloured glitter was added in places using soft gel medium...
I really enjoyed creating this piece and hope that it will inspire you to create something to enter into the challenge.
Thank you for reading!

Tonight is the night and to mark the start of a brand new collection of stamps and embossing folders by Leonie Pujol I am posting a couple of the projects that I made as part of the design team...
This first project was made to show that even though this range is aimed at Christmas you can always adapt the products for other occasions! This plaque was a Tando mixed media board which I covered with a piece of card that I had embossed with one of the folders and sanded back to reveal the pattern and give a bit of a distressed look. The other pieces were stamped, cut out and coloured with Spectrum Aqua pens.
This next project I loved as the angel was one of my favourites! Again I embossed the paper that was applied to the board bunting and this time used gilding wax to bring out the pattern. The angel wings were made from Angelina fibres and the angels coloured and coated with sparkle pen before cutting them out and sticking them on.
The other team members will also have blog posts with more inspiration so do please pop over to them for a look and leave them some lovely comments...

Mixed Media Monday: Glimmer of Light
Hello!
I hope you have had a good weekend! Mine was a very lazy one with some crafting for good measure :)
I also finally got around to using a bit more of my crafty haul from Ally Pally a few weeks ago, this time I have used some of the Visible Image stamps and also the MDF stand...
After my Tando workshop last weekend I have also discovered how fab the Decoart crackle glaze and antiquing creams are, so I used them on this project too.
I started by coating the plaque with white gesso and then added modelling paste through the IndigoBlu harlequin stencil...
Then I used Decoart media fluid acrylics to paint the base (transparent red oxide, yellow oxide and burnt sienna)...
After this was completely dry I added some of the crackle glaze over most of the plaque, making it thicker in some areas than others. Once this was dry I painted the patina antiquing cream all over then rubbed it back with a damp piece of kitchen towel. To add some extra highlights I rubbed gold Pebeo gilding wax across parts of the texture...
Finally I stamped out elements from the Visible Image stamp set 'Glimmer of Light' and coloured them using Spectrum Aqua pens. Glossy accents were added to the light bulb and the sentiment was shaded with some vintage photo distress ink. All the pieces were then added to the board using glue gel...
I decided to leave quite a bit of space on this plaque so that the background showed properly. It made a change to use moths rather than butterflies in my project but I think they are just as interesting.
This Wednesday (5th October) there will be a new launch of Leonie Pujol's latest craft products on HOCHANDA so I will be back tomorrow with a sneaky peek of one of my design team projects as well as all the details of the shows. Hope to see you then,
Jane x

Altered Eclectics: A Rainbow of Butterflies
Hello!
Welcome to a brand new month which must mean that it is time for a new Altered Eclectics challenge. Please pop over to the blog by clicking HERE where you will find lots of different ideas and hopefully some of you will be inspired to enter a project. The challenge is anything goes as long as it is not a card or ATC, so all things altered and mixed media are welcome!
So here is my inspiration project...
For the sentiment I used one from Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous, using some black soot distress ink around the edges...
Once I had added the sentiment I felt there was something still missing so I added some extra stamping using black and white paint. This was created using a mixture of bottle lids, gift cards and some texture stamps from Stampin'Up!...

The challenge is anything goes as long as it is not a card or ATC, so all things altered and mixed media are welcome!
So here is my inspiration project...
I started this project knowing that I wanted to use a butterfly stamp from Bee Crafty with the colours of the rainbow so decided to create a 12" x 12" canvas. First I stamped the butterfly multiple times using black Versafine which was then embossed with clear powder. These were all cut out and then coloured using Spectrum Aqua pens with a clear sparkle added over the top, then glossy accents for a nice shiny and durable finish...
I added a coat of gesso to the canvas and then used a dictionary stamp from Stampin'Up! to add a pattern to the background. I used archival ink as I knew that I would be adding wet mediums later...
Using a mini stencil from Scrapmatts I added some paint in rainbow colours across the canvas...
The archival ink was again added through a stencil this time by Andy Skinner to create a face and some detail in the corners. I wanted to create a drippy rainbow effect down the canvas so spritzed a bit of water then added gelatos to the top of the canvas before spraying more water and allowing the colour to run down the canvas...
Some more stencilling was then added using the harlequin from IndigoBlu. This time I used some champagne sparkle paste from Imagination crafts for a different texture. Then the butterflies were added across the canvas in rainbow order...
Finally the canvas was put into a white frame to allow the colours to pop!
I loved making this canvas as butterflies and rainbows always make my smile so I now need to put it up somewhere and possibly make a couple of matching canvases for a collection!
I look forward to seeing your entries at Altered Eclectics, until next time have a lovely day,
Jane x
