Autumn Leaves ATC's for Bee Crafty

  Hello!

Over on the Bee Crafty group on face book it is coming up to the last few days of this months challenge and the theme is autumnal colors.  So this week I thought I would create some artist trading cards (pieces of art work that measure 2 and a 1/2" by 3 and a 1/2") using the autumn theme...

1) I started by creating some backgrounds on my gel press with stencils (alternate circles, mandala 2 & sunset) and distress oxide inkpads (wild honey, fossilized amber, spiced marmalade & crackling fire)...

2) Next I chose which areas I liked the best and cut my 4 ATC sized cards...

3) To create some extra interest in the background I stamped part of the deciduous tree onto each card using brown versafine clair and heat embossed with clear powder...

4) Then I stamped the small maple leaf onto watercolour card in the same way as the tree and coloured them using the same distress oxide pads...

5) I chose where to put the leaves on the cards and adhered them with glue gel...

6) Finally I chose some of the sentiments from the small words set and stamped them onto the left over background card.  Again I used brown versafine clair and clear embossing powder...

Believe in Possibilities Journal Page for Bee Crafty

  Hello!

Last week on the Bee Crafty Facebook page I started creating a journal page in the 8" x 8" Dylusions journal, so this week for the blog I thought I would finish the whole spread by creating on the left hand page...

1) First I painted the page using blue acrylic paint but to make it a bit more translucent to match the other side I added some Dina Wakley glazing medium as well...

2) The left page was a bit more textured and difficult to stamp on because of the elements on the previous pages, so I decided to stamp some images onto tissue paper that could then be stuck on.  I used the Butterflies Possibilities and Just Bloom sets.

I used archival ink as this would stay permanent on the tissue when adding collage medium...

3) I cut the images out quite near to the lines and then added them to the page using distress collage medium...

4) As the surface was now less porous due to the collage medium I used permanent markers to colour the images...

5) To add some extra highlights I used a white posca pen on the images then added some background dots to the background using a blue posca pen so that the two sides of the spread matched...

6) Finally to help the butterflies stand out I used a water soluble black pencil to add some shading.  Then I took the sentiment from the butterfly set and stamped it in patches multiple times...

To create my spread I used the following:

Simply With Love for Bee Crafty

  Hello!

This week on the Bee Crafty blog I am sharing a really quick and simple card for any occasion...

1) I used the Perspective Circles inkable with distress inks to create a background on a piece of white stamping card.

2) Extra distress ink was added around the edges of the card with a blending brush.

3) Using archival black ink I stamped the head of the Doodle Sunflower XL 3 times directly onto the background.

4) I coloured the flowers using markers.

5) The sentiment from Everyday Sentiments 2 was stamped directly onto the card also in black archival ink.

6) The card was mounted onto black card stock then a 5" square card blank.

Here are the products I used:

Sometimes it is good to be able to make a quick card when needed and this was really easy to create.
