Hello, I hope you are looking forward to tonight's launch and the shows that will be shown throughout tomorrow!
To celebrate the launch of the new Entwined Christmas collection I have a snowy project to share with you...
I love snowflakes: stamps; dies; embossing folders; paper...basically any craft product with them on! So when I received this collection I was really pleased and knew that I wanted to make a snowy card using acetate to create a snowfall feel.
I started by cutting the heat resistant acetate to the right size for my card, leaving extra at the sides to create a domed effect. Then I used the snowflake stamps to heat emboss on the top half of the acetate, to add a few extra touches I used a white posca paint pen to more snow.
Using blue card and silver mirri card I cut out the snowflake die and snow word to also add to the front...
On the front of the main card I matted a piece of silver mirri onto the matching blue . I stamped the word background and heat embossed in silver before blending the card with blue distress ink. This was then added to the middle of the card before attaching the acetate...
To finish the front a sentiment was stamped and embossed onto silver card then matted onto the same blue cardstock...
As this card was quite dimensional I wanted it to have its own box so decorated the front of that too using some of the other stamps from the range in blue...
All the design team members (and Leonie) have blogs which have a variety of projects on including those using Leonie's ranges so do please pop over to have a look...
