Creative Artiste: Butterfly Plaque

Hello!

Another new challenge begins today over at the Creative Artiste Challenge Blog, click HERE to go straight over to check out the rules and see the rest of the design team projects.  You can also see who won the fabulous Decoart prize from last month!

This month the challenge is being sponsored by Lindy's Gang, and I have used some of their fantastic sprays on my project...

I made a vintage feeling butterfly plaque for this month...

I started by using a large media board from Tando Creative and some smaller ATC sized pieces of board as well.  Once these had been prepared with white gesso I applied structure paste through the distressed diamond stencil by Tando and then applied some Decoart crackle paste to areas using a palette knife.

Once these had all totally dried I used a selection of sprays from Lindy's Gang to add the colour.  For the background I used some different greens and for the smaller pieces a selection of golds...

I then used some sparkle paste through the Tando numbers stencil and also added gold gilding wax.
The butterflies were die cut from crafter's companion luxury matt cardstock using the butterfly from Sheena Douglass and one of Sue Wilson's butterflies...

The final touches were to add some gems and a sentiment from 7 Dots Studio.

Thank you for reading and I hope you will enter the challenge this month to have a chance of winning the prize!  The theme is always anything goes as long as it is mixed media.

Happy crafting,

Jane xx
