Hello!
This week on the Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty blog I decided to use some alcohol ink backgrounds to create a card.
Over on the Bee Crafty Facebook page last Tuesday I did a live video where I used alcohol inks and pearls alongside alcohol lift off ink. You can watch the video by clicking the link here...
https://www.facebook.com/BeeCraftyStamps/videos/430952624366863/
One of the backgrounds that I created during the live was with lots of alcohol pearl colours and at the time I wasn't keen on it as it seemed to be quite muddied to me. However when I looked at it the next day the colours seemed much more vibrant and I really liked them so decided to use them within a card...
Here are the backgrounds that I created using the pearls in the Facebook live...
I used the doodle art sunflower heads (regular and XL) and the leaves from the regular dragonfly to stamp onto the backgrounds in versamark then heat embossed using silver powder before cutting them all out...
Next I needed to create a background for them. I used blues to create a contrast of colour, adding stonewashed, stream and patina alcohol inks to a piece of 7" x 5" heavyweight Yupo paper. Then whilst some areas were still tacky I added silver foil...
Using one of the texture discs I put alcohol lift ink through the stencil using a blending tool to create some lighter areas...
After this I used the script background with versamark and silver embossing powder...
Finally I added the flowers and leaves with foam tape and glue so that they were at different depths on the card and added one of the everyday sentiments...
Here are the products that I used:
* Art Stamps - Doodle Art Sunflower (regular)
* Art Stamps - Doodle Art Sunflower (XL)
* Art Stamps - Doodle Dragonfly (regular)
* Wordage - Everyday Sentiments 1 (regular)
* Texture Discs Set 2
* Alcohol Ink Pearls
* Alcohol Lift Ink - Reinker
* YUPO Paper
Thank you for looking and happy crafting!

Little Things, Little Book for Tando Creative
Hello!
This week on the Tando Creative blog it is 'Anything Goes' week so I took the opportunity to decorate one of the fab mini books...
* After preparing the surface with gesso I used acrylic paint in yellow and orange to form my main colour.
* Next I used the rings stencil with brown paint and then the dots stencil with gold paint.
* For extra interest I used sepia archival ink with a stamp from France Papillon's London New York set. Then I stamped out the bee from Creepers and Crawlers and a sentiment.
* To create a closure for the book I used my crop a dile and then added eyelets and some ribbon...
* To complete the cover I used my paint pens to add some doodle dots.
Here are the products I used:
Tando Creative - Mini Book Pack 2
Tando Creative Stencils - Rings; Dots
France Papillon Stamps - London New York; Creepers and Crawlers; Perfect Words

Today on the Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty blog I am sharing some ATC cards that I have made using alcohol inks and the most recent 'Under The Sea' stamps...
* I started by cutting some heavyweight YUPO paper to 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" so that it could be matted onto black card that was ATC sized.
* To help the alcohol inks blend I started by adding a layer of blending solution to the paper then dripped on drops of different alcohol inks onto one of the YUPO pieces. Whilst this was still wet I placed the other piece on the top and smooshed them together.
* When the ink had dried I used the regular dots and sunset d'inkables with some alcohol lift ink reinker on a blending tool to take off some of the alcohol ink.
* Next I used the regular jellyfish stamp with versamark ink and gold embossing powder. You need to be very careful with the heat tool as YUPO is plastic and will warp if heated too much.
* I stamped the small shell from the regular conch shell stamp set onto stamping card and cut them out. These were the coloured with markers to match the colours in the background then added to the ATC's with glue gel.
* To finish I stamped out the sentiments from the regular conch shell set then added some ink to the edges when cut out.

Bird Crackle Tag for Tando Creative
Hello!
This week on the Tando Creative blog we are all about 'Crackle'!
I decided to use one of the tags in my technique binder to create lots of crackle texture in different ways...
After I had prepared my surface with white gesso I mixed a little bit of green gold fluid acrylic with white crackle paint. Once this had dried I used the long arrows stencil with crackle paste and left it to air dry.
To highlight the cracks I watered down some of the green gold and added it to the tag.
To create a different sort of crackle effect I also used a stamp from Bee Crafty with a crackle pattern along with some archival ink...
To complete my tag I water coloured a couple of Scribbly Bird stamps and added a sentiment...
Here are the products I used...
* Tando Creative - Technique Binder and Tags
* Tando Creative Stencil - Arrows
* Decoart - Fluid Acrylics
* Decoart - Mediums
There will be lots more crackle projects throughout the week from other members of the design team, so do please keep popping back for a look.
Happy crafting,
Jane xx
