Hello!
Welcome to the Craftascope monthly blog hop organised by the lovely Jacqueline!
This month we are creating projects using mainly products from the Craftascope range by Nick Roberts using a colour theme and the colours are...
I decided to go small this month with some ATC's. An ATC is an artist trading card which is a piece of artwork that measures 2 1/2" by 3 1/2" and was originally intended for trading with other artists. You can still find ATC swaps in a variety of craft groups but I generally make them because they are a cute piece of work to keep.
I started by creating a blue background for my ATC's. I used distress oxide inkpads in Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean and Broken China on a glossy card stock...
Then I allowed the ink to dry slightly before I took a paper towel and buffed the surface...
Next I used the Craftascope 'ATC card and envelope' die to cut out 2 ATC's and also the trellis part of the die in white glossy card. Then I used black Versafine ink with clear embossing powder over the top to stamp words from the 'ATC Antics' set into the cartouche section of the trellis before sticking them together...
There is also a stamp on the 'ATC Antics' set that can be used on the back of the cards to write on details if you are planning to trade them, so I stamped that onto the backs as well...
After that I created another background in the same way as the blue but this time I used Fired Brick and Candied Apple oxides.
I stamped one of the flowers from the 'Bloom and Grow' set onto the red background 3 times and then two of the leaves on the remains of the blue. These were adhered to the cards and some white and blue gems added...
