Da Vinci Cards for Bee Crafty

Hello!

Today on the Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty Blog I thought I would share a few cards that I made for the recent Da Vinci shows on HOCHANDA.

The products used were...

* Da Vinci Background - Art Stamps
* Da Vinci Science of Beauty - Art Stamps
* Da Vinci Wings - Art Stamps
* Da Vinci Vitruvian Man - Art Stamps
* Art Is Never Finished - Wordage Stamps
* XL Script - Backdrops Stamp
* Distress Oxide Ink Pads
* Distress Ink Pads

This card was created using the distress oxides to create a piece of background card by squashing it onto a heatproof mat, spritzing with water then swooshing the card into it.  This card was then used to stamp on to with the wings and cut out, then a piece cut to size as a background and stamped with the background stamp.  The sentiment was stamped onto black card then embossed with white powder before being cut into sections.

The diorama card was created using 2 pieces of card which were cut and scored.  The XL crackle stamp was used to create a patterned paper effect, and the vitruvian man stamped and the square part cut out with the wings used at the sides.  A mat and layer was created for the inside and attached with foam pads.   A die was used to cut the aperture and a piece of acetate was placed inside which was lightly stamped in places.

I wanted to create an aged sepia toned card as I thought it suited the stamps well.  After stamping the science of beauty onto a piece of card that was coloured with distress ink, I cut it into 4 sections and matted them onto brown card.  The background was also stamped onto a distress inked piece of card and then water flicked on to create lighter spots.  I chose just to use a couple of words from the sentiment stamp and added these to the top and bottom.

Thank you for reading, I hope you are looking forward to the next Bee Crafty shows on Thursday!

Happy crafting,

Jane xx
