Creative Artiste: Tando Window

Hello!

The first Friday in July means that it must be time for a new challenge over at the Creative Artiste Challenge blog.  We had lots of fabulous entries last month and the post announcing the prize winner and top three is over HERE...

This month we have two fab new prizes sponsored by Tando Creative of a 30% discount off Tando products in their store...

For my design team project this month I chose to use one of the fab shadow frames from Tando Creative and as it was a window shape and the weather is so beautiful here at the moment I went for a summery theme...

After painting with metallic acrylics and sticking the frame together I added paper flowers and leaves to the bottom part of the frame using glue gel, along with some sequins...

I wanted some pretty birds to add to my window so stamped, coloured (using pigment sticks as a watercolour) and cut out these two from the scribbly birds set by Dina Wakely.  The words also came from the same set and were lightly coloured and then edged with black ink.  Some splashes of gold paint were added to tie all the different parts together.  Once everything was in place I felt that it still needed something extra at the top of the frame so added a metal butterfly...

I hope you are having lovely weather where you are and if so are able to make the most of it.  Do please go over to the challenge blog to check out all the design team inspiration and take a look at the rules.  The challenge is always anything goes as long as it is mixed media and I look forward to seeing your entries this month.

Happy crafting,

Jane xx
